Introduction: Hi, my name is Liesbeth Kester. I live in Zaltbommel together with my husband Rob, son Lucian and daughter Rosan. After living with a cat, rabbits, fish and a hamster, we are currently without pets. In my spare time, I’m busy with all kinds of projects in and around my house.
Research topics: In the 90’s, I graduated as a neuropsychologist from the University of Amsterdam and in the zeros, I received my PhD in the Educational Sciences at the Open University of the Netherlands. At the Open University, Utrecht University and now Maastricht University, I have been busy with research on online and blended learning environments including topics such as learning analytics, flipped classrooms, game-based learning, self-regulated learning etc.
Current research interest: Currently I’m interested in the design of effective and healthy learning environments in higher education and I’m the principal investigator of a project about youth and digitalization (https://jedi.sites.uu.nl/).
